Hotel Restaurant Zum Hackstuck in Hattingen

Ordered a Christmas goose for home for the first time, the food was excellent, thanks to the kitchen and the service.

Due to the lockdown, friends made us aware of the pick-up service for the chopped piece. We opted for a goose with side dishes. The goose was designed for 4 people, but was easily enough for 6 people. Thanks to the enclosed preparation instructions, the pre-cooked goose and the side dishes were prepared very quickly. Our family loved the goose. We will definitely visit Hackstück after the lockdown.

Very good food, good service

Since we couldn't go out to eat at Christmas due to the corona pandemic, we opted for a full goose menu for out-of-home sales. The portions were very generous. The meat and the side dishes were a real taste explosion. It was one of the tastiest geese I've ever eaten. The price-performance ratio is absolutely okay. I would buy this menu again at any time.

Corona has made everything a little different ... very friendly service, dinner you have to bring or have it delivered ...

My wife and I went there twice for a long weekend. From the rooms to the wellness area and kitchen to the service, everything was great without exception. We would particularly like to mention the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Outside and inside you can stay well and the environment is very attractive. For us it was the ideal place for a combination of walks in the nature of Elfringhauser Switzerland and strolling through the lovely inner city of Hattingen.

The hotel is located in the middle of a very well-kept park, which reminds me of a Japanese garden in its appearance and style. Not even the pond with several Koy carp is missing. Apparently, a lot is being invested in the care and maintenance of the perfectly trimmed box trees and outdoor areas. My opinion: it would be better to save a bit here and invest in the hotel equipment and breakfast. The hotel has four stars, but the reception was closed before 8:00 p.m. in the evening. The rooms are equipped with pine furniture (around the 80s), the bed is firm but saggy, the bathroom is simple but clean, toilet with cheap plastic glasses and the toilet paper the cheapest kind from Aldi. Breakfast just as simple and not particularly rich. I put the time on the special situation wg. Corona (few visitors to the hotel). But I was surprised that there wasn't even cereal. If you could have just stood there, it doesn't get bad that quickly ... I mention that because the clearly noticeable economy in the hotel does not at all match the external impression with the lavishly tended garden and the 4 stars. Why do I still give four stars? Because the people here were very friendly. Otherwise it would have been three stars at best. (The restaurant in the hotel is not included in the rating as it was not open (closed on Mondays).

Excellent food, as always. Now the game specialties are highly recommended. But everything else we ordered was great. Vitello Tonnato, Steak Strindberg or homemade nuggets for the junior. ???

I have known the restaurant zum Hackstück for many years. Unfortunately I have to find out that the food has decreased. We weren't entirely satisfied today.

We had several dishes delivered to us today. It was the right temperature and of very good quality. The telephone contact, as well as the neatly dressed employee, were extremely pleasant.

The food is very good, the location and location could hardly be better. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the menu is a bit too small due to Covid-19 and not much choice for my taste. But that will change again and I am looking forward to the next visit.

A really good restaurant address in Elfringhauser Switzerland. We always like to come back there. The dignified furnishings are cozy. There you stand by the rustic furnishings. We like it. The food is always very good; the operator attentive. We can therefore recommend the chopping piece to you.
